Our founder, Late Shri Aroor Sripathi Rao (1924–1992), is the guiding spirit behind Mandovi Motors Pvt. Ltd. His entrepreneurial skills, supported by a visionary perspective, blazed a pioneering trail in the automotive field in his hometown of Mangalore. The credit for the sustained development of the organisation and the establishment of its sales and service units goes to its founder, who steered the firm to the heights of success through his sound business acumen, flair for organisation, and meticulous attention to detail.
In 1983, Maruti Udyog Ltd. appointed Mandovi Motors as the first dealership in the state of Karnataka, and in 1984, Mandovi Motors commenced operations on 14th June 1984. Mandovi Motors Pvt. Ltd. is the first and largest dealership of Maruti Suzuki cars in Karnataka and also India’s first True Value dealer, appointed by MSIL in 2001. Its parent company has nearly 89 years of experience in the automotive industry.
As part of its commitment to building safe and confident drivers, Mandovi Motors operates multiple Maruti Suzuki Driving Schools (MSDS) across Karnataka. One such facility is located on Haralur Main Road, Bangalore, Karnataka, and offers structured, end-to-end driver training programmes for learners at all levels. Backed by trained instructors and a curriculum that combines classroom sessions with practical, on-road driving experience, we focus on developing responsible driving habits, road safety awareness, and real-world driving confidence.
